Released in 1992 by Rolex, the Yacht-Master, model numbered 16628, is a relatively newer model in the Rolex collection. From the start, the Yacht-Master was a success. The high demand for this model resulted in Rolex releasing more metal options including two-tone, stainless steel, as well as platinum & stainless models. They also released ladies, and mid-sized models.

The Rolex Yacht-Master is submersible up to 330 feet and is designed as a sporting watch. It includes the Rolex Time-Lapse Bezel which is mainly used to measure the amount of time a diver has been under water. It has a 31-jewel chronometer movement.

Yacht Master II

In 2007, Rolex released the Yacht-Master II. The Yacht-Master II has a new and highly advanced 4160 caliber movement. This high-tech movement gives the Yacht-Master II wearer the ability to synchronize the watch to a Regatta count-down, making it an innovation in the world of professional Yachting.
